Louise B. Gratsch, born in Flint, MI on June 2, 1920, died July 7, 2019.
She graduated from Grand Blanc High School & Flint Junior College, becoming Secretary to the Dean of the College. Louise married her high school sweetheart Cliff on March 14, 1944. In 1950 they set out on a new adventure as they moved the family to Walloon Lake to start a Landscaping business which they worked side by side in for 25 years.
Cliff & Louise also built, then owned and managed the Cliff Dweller ski lodge at Boyne Mtn. for many years.
In 1977 they retired to Naples, FL and spent many summers at their cabin in the mountains of TN, and moved to Bradenton, FL in 2006.
Louise enjoyed many sports in her active life, including skiing, golf, gardening, and hiking. Her favorite hobby which she shared with her dear friend Donna Moll was collecting flowers, pressing, drying, and arranging on notecards & bookmarks.
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include daughter, Beth Waller (Al), of Asheville, NC; son Tom Gratsch of Walloon Lake, MI; and grandson Tony of Boulder, CO.
Louise was predeceased by her husband Cliff Gratsch (2013) & daughter Barbara Gratsch (2018).
