It is with profound sadness that the family of Louis Price, Jr. announce his peaceful passing at Covered Bridge Health Campus on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Louis was born on April 19, 1933 to parents Louis Price Sr. and Emelia (Schutte) Price. On September 6, 1953 he married the beautiful love of his life, Dorothy Mae (Darlage) Price at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Waymansville.
Louis was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Jonesville and the VFW. Louis proudly served his country in Korea in the United States Army. Upon his return, he worked at Cummins Engine Co. for 36 years before his retirement. After retiring he farmed and spent time with his sons delivering for C & G Tool, Inc. in Jonesville.
Louis enjoyed motorcycle rides with Dorothy; they were proud of having ridden through 44 states on their bike. He loved spending time at Lutheran Lake with his family and friends. Louis adored his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life.
Louis will be lovingly remembered by his children; Curt (Debbie) Price and Greg (Amy) Price; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Cooper, Chad (Jill) Price, Travis (Lisa) Price and Chelsey (Brian) Warren; 13 great grandchildren; and his sister Berniece Arnholt.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy who passed on April 2, 2015; and his sister Mildred Dabb.
Funeral services for Louis will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Jonesville on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Matthew Jung officiating. Louis will have full military rights provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47, and Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Family and friends may pay their respects at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we respectfully require face masks at all services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations honoring Louis be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Jonesville, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
