Louis Joseph William Jette, 87, died peacefully at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH, on December 6, 2022, after a bout with dementia. Louis was born on June 29, 1935, the son of the late Edmond L. and Rose M. (Boissonnault) Jette. He was a resident of Hudson most of his life, graduating from Alvirne High School. Louis then became a soldier in the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army, Louis' love of automobiles, especially Chevys, led him to become a longtime auto mechanic at MacMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua. Later in life he was the head golf cart mechanic at Green Meadow Golf Course in Hudson until his retirement.
In retirement he loved meeting up with his friends from the Carbon Scrappers Club where he made lifelong friends and was able to showcase his love for old cars, trucks, and anything automotive. Louis also enjoyed gardening and preferred being outdoors, even owning and running the Hollis Flea Market in Hollis, NH for several years with Frances and their family. Even as he slowed down dementia never took his love for automobiles, the outdoors, and his memories of his family and friends. He could be heard daily at Hillsborough County Nursing Home telling stories of his family and friends.
Louis was pre-deceased by his former wife Frances J. (Brown) Jette, their son Ricky Jette, his lifelong friend, Dot Gilman, and his sister Madeleine Therrien.
Surviving family members include his children Craig Jette and his significant other, June Riccio, Ann Marie Jette-Weatherbee, Cecile Poulin and her husband Rene Poulin, and Jennifer Jette. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Scott Jette and his wife Kim, Ricky Jette Jr., Lindsey Nadeau and her significant other, Andre Nadeau, Tyler Poulin and significant other Kara, Justin Jette, Alicia Southwick and her husband, Kraig Southwick, Taylor Jette, Brandon Richards, and Joey Richards and his great grandchildren, Isabella Jette, Lacey Jette, Dillon Nadeau, Devon Nadeau, Jayce Jette, Cole Southwick, Colby Jones, Khileigh Jones, and Jordan Poulin.
