Louis Theofield Doleac III of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2021.
Louis was born on December 11th, 1954 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Louis (Buddy) Doleac and Lilah Joyce Doleac. He grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi and graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1973. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lynn Burrow Doleac; three children, Brittany Doleac Queen (Lexington, South Carolina), Louis Doleac IV (Hillsboro, Oregon), Landon Doleac (Lexington, South Carolina); two granddaughters, Marin Queen and Sutton Queen (Lexington, South Carolina); siblings, Debbie Doleac Clark (Pensacola, Florida), Tami Doleac Young husband Ronny (Tupelo, Mississippi) and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family, all who loved him dearly.
Following in his parents footsteps at a young age, Louis owned and operated "Lou's Mini-Mart" and various other small businesses in Gulfport, Mississippi. In 1990, he attended the American Institute of Baking in Manhattan, Kansas, and for several years was employed with Palmetto Bakery in Orangeburg, South Carolina and Butter Crust Bakery in Lakeland, Florida. In 2000, Louis began selling industrial bakery equipment, which allowed him to travel internationally. For the past two years, Louis was employed with Palmetto Gourmet Foods in Saluda, South Carolina.
His interests included many different sports and hobbies such as basketball, baseball, track and field (pole vaulting), dancing and hunting... but his great joy was playing golf. Being able to play golf with family and friends was a true highlight in his life.
His life of love, prayer and devotion defined his deeply held Christian beliefs. Through his illness he continued to grow and learn in his faith and his love for the Lord.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for December 4, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be from 10am to 11:30am and service will begin at 11:30am. The service will also be streamed live on Facebook for those who are unable to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to:
