Louie Loyd Teasdale, age 89, passed away Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 in his bed at his assisted living care home in Tomball, Texas. Louie was surrounded by his loving family and devoted caregivers as he transitioned peacefully from this earthly life to his heavenly home. Louie ("Big") was born December 23, 1932 in Tyler, Texas, to Joe and Hazel (nee Gaiser) Teasdale.
Louie proudly served our country in Korea from 1951 -1954 as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp, earning the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Marine Good Conduct Medal, and The Korean Service Medal with 3 stars.
Louie "Big" was known for his charming personality, humor, quick wit, and engaging laughter. He loved to dance and socialize with his friends and family and was a long-time member of the VFW Post 4709 in Conroe, Texas. Louie was handsome, smart, skillful, dependable, helpful, loving, and he always got things
"squared away". Louie retired from Houston, Light, & Power before the company became CenterPoint Energy, working his way up from a truck driver to Supervisor of Underground Utilities in the greater Houston area. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Louie ("Big Man") is survived by his twin brother Lewis ("Little Man") Floyd Teasdale of Indiana;daughter
Toni Gale Teasdale (Rey) Rodriguez; son John (Ronda) Setser of Oregon; grandsons Michael "Garrett" Teasdale, Ronald Louis "BuddyRo" (Andi) Teasdale, Christopher Long, and Christopher (Stephanie) Setser; granddaughters Lacey (Grant) Supp, Jennifer (Van) Sloan, Susan (Devon) Peluso, and Tiana Setser; brother-in-law Gary Nelson of Wisconsin; sisters-in-law Carol Hill and Janet Bader; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Louie is preceded in death by his father Joe Lewis Teasdale; mother Willie Hazel (nee Gaiser) Teasdale Halvorson; sisters Patricia Bunch and June Nelson; half-brother Joe Lewis Teasdale, Jr.; wife Dorothy (nee Bader); 2nd wife Ann (nee Wagnon); and son Michael Lloyd Teasdale.
