Louella George Hefty passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at age 89 after a 3 year struggle with Chronic Kidney Disease. Born May 24, 1932 in Brownsville, Texas, Louella graduated Brownsville High School in 1950. She married Teddy O. Rentrop in 1951 and raised 4 children: Teddy, Mark, Dale and Mary Lou. Louella loved spending time in the kitchen entertaining family and friends. Family was always her primary focus and was adored by grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always knew her as "Teaparty". She took pride in being a member of the Osage Nation and was devoted to the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Brownsville where she served on the Altar Guild for many years. Louella is preceded in this life by her parents, James I. George Sr. and Maryella (Billie) Strode George, brothers James I. George Jr. and Harry M. George Sr., first husband Teddy O. Rentrop Sr., second husband Harvey (Crit) Conly and son Mark K. Rentrop. She is survived by her husband Duane S. Hefty; son Teddy O. Rentrop Jr (Julie); daughter-in-law Judy Rentrop; Dale J. Rentrop (Janet); daughter Mary Lou Nuckols (Frank); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Louella will be interred at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Brownsville on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00a.m. and a memorial honoring her life and legacy will be held in Brownsville in her honor at
Hampton Inn and Suites, 3000 N Expressway, Brownsville.
