Lottie (Kulas) Sikora, 104 and one month shy of her 105th birthday, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at home with her daughter by her side. She was the widow of the late Walter Sikora.
Lottie was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, daughter of the late Walter and Zofia (Suckiel) Kulas. She has been a resident of New Britain for 100 years and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church. She was employed/retired from the Fafnir Bearing Company in New Britain. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Christine Sikora, with whom she made her home, and her grandson, Michael Sikora, of Acton, MA. Lottie is also survived by her sister, Jane Piacente and several nieces and nephews. She also has special memories for all of her "Kulas Cousins." She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Kulas, and her sisters, Helen Tanguay and Sophie Yezierski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Face coverings are mandatory. Social distancing and capacity limitations will be strictly observed. She will be laid to rest privately beside her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There are no public calling hours.
