Lorraine (Lorre) Duguay Ryan Stebbins passed peacefully in her Carmel, Indiana home on May 7, 2022. Born September 7, 1934 in Holyoke, MA, the daughter of Wilfred Duguay and Marie Jean DesRochers Duguay Masse. Lorre attended the Holyoke Hospital School of nursing, graduating in 1955 as a Registered Nurse. She was known her entire life as a highly competent, warm and self-sacrificing care-giver having worked at Holyoke Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, the Berkshire Medical Center, and as the owner of Infusion Plus IV Therapies. During her career she was honored with the Hadassah Award for exceptional care and service.
She is survived by her children Susan Ryan McCoskey (Rick C. McCoskey) of Noblesville, IN; Jeffrey Ryan (Cary McDonald) of San Rafael, CA; Douglas Ryan (Mayela Ryan) of San Diego, CA; Christopher Ryan (Jasmine Ryan) of Lenox, MA, and Gregory Ryan of Cary, NC. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren: Cassidy, Jesse, and Zachary McDonald-Ryan; Alex, Clarisa Lorraine Ryan-Garling (Adam Garling), and Oscar Ryan; Keala Mills (Nicole Mills), Seamus Ryan; and Kyle Ryan. She leaves 2 great-grandchildren, Logan and Madeline Mills. Lorre is also survived by her beloved sisters Delores (Dee) Jackson and Anita (Skip) Evans. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Marie Masse; father, Wilfred Duguay, step-father Albert E. Masse, her husband James Sharpe Ryan and her second husband Donald Stebbins.
Lorre was an avid reader who loved to travel, and whose deep faith informed her life. For many she leaves a pastoral testament of wisdom, kindness and healing.
Calling hours for prayer will begin at 9:15 a.m. at St. Ann's in Lenox, MA, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on June 15, 2022. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in her name to Mephibosheth Ministries, 1715 Stringtown Pike, Cicero, IN 46034.
