Lorraine Scarborough Sells, born on March 20, 1938 in Hazleton, PA, passed away peacefully at 6AM on March 21, 2023 one day after her 85th birthday, under hospice and memory care for dementia and terminal lymphoma in St. Petersburg, FL.
She attended Southern High School in Baltimore, MD and was an Army spouse to her first husband and Army veteran Gerald Scarborough, Sr.
During her earlier career, she spent her time as a fitness trainer, helping other women improve and maintain their health & fitness. In her later career, she specialized in office product sales.
She moved from MD to FL to be near much of her family who had also relocated.
Lorraine was a long-time baseball fan and always enjoyed attending games and spending quality time with family. She was loving and caring to all who knew her.
Lorraine is predeceased by her late husband from her second marriage, Air Force veteran Michael Sells and her youngest son, Kevin Scarborough & nephew Maury Scarborough Jr. She is survived by her ex-husband Gerald Scarborough Sr; sisters, Shirley LeTan & Linda Bart; sons, Jerry & Tim Scarborough; daughter, Lisa Schultz Duhamel; grandsons Tyler & Dylan Schultz; and great-grandson Mason Schultz; nieces Rhonda & Lauree LeTan, Cherin Schellenschlager & Laura Voltmer; and nephew Craig Scarborough.
A small private memorial service was held with immediate family members at Quantico National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at 12:30PM where she was interned with her late husband and Air Force veteran, C. Michael Sells who passed away in 2020.
