Lori R. Lee, 61, Watertown, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in her home.
Memorial services will be Saturday, April 10, at 10:30 a.m. at the Codington County Extension Center in Watertown officiated by Pastor Kent Stillson. Music will be provided by vocalist Don Sime. Urn bearers will be Lacey Miller and Lundee Stadtler.
Lori Rose Lee was born on June 29, 1959, to Darold and Burkharda (Lewandowski) Stadtler in the Graceville, MN, hospital. She lived on the family farm northwest of Browns Valley in South Dakota. She attended Charles M. Dale School for K-12. Lori also attended Lake Area Technical College for Cosmetology.
On June 16, 1979, Lori married her best friend Bob Lee at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley. While living in Browns Valley, Lori worked at the Browns Valley School District as a teacher's aide. She also did day care out of her home in Browns Valley and was a partner in Lee's Stump Removal.
In 1989, Lori and Bob moved to Watertown, SD, and Lori was employed by Wessex's Sewing, PGI, and Star Laundry.
The last years of her life, Lori was self-employed out of their residence doing sewing and alterations for the fire department, police department, and ambulance service. She also helped Bob with their lawn care and stumping business. On weekends they loved doing gun shows in the tri-state area.
Lori's hobbies were raising beautiful flowers in a productive vegetable garden. She also loved canning vegetables, tomato juice, fish and jams. Her passion was keeping the yard beautiful. In her spare time, she loved hunting and fishing with her best friend and husband Bob and their faithful dog Babe.
Lori enjoyed life to the fullest and is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Bob Lee of Watertown; Brother, Lynn (Nat) Stadtler of Browns Valley; Sister, Lisa (David) Stillson of Sisseton; Niece, Lacey (Tony) Miller of Browns Valley; Nephew, Lundee (Kelsey) Stadtler of Browns Valley; along with numerous great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Preceding Lori in death were her parents, Darold and Burkharda (Lewandowski) Stadtler; and Babe (her dog) Lee.
