Lonnie Leo Nickell, 81, of Piketon, Ohio, passed Sunday, November 13, 2022 at his home.
Lonnie was born February 17, 1941 in Pike County, Ohio, the son of the late Lonnie Owen Nickell and Viola May (Mossbarger) Davis. On March 6, 1959, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Jean (Anderson) Nickell, who survives.
He is also survived by daughter, Debra Morris, adopted son, James Williams, nephews whom he helped raise, Jake and Joe Anderson, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, three brothers, Cecil Nickell, Charles Delbert Nickell, and Roger Tony Nickell, and a sister, Shirley Tackett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Lonnie Leo Nickell Jr. and Jeffery Wayne Nickell, two brothers, Bearl Nickell and Larry Nickell, and nephew Jared Anderson.
Lonnie was a retired laborer and a member of Beavers Chapel Church.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Terry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
