LoNella Coates, 84, of Harvest, Alabama, passed from this life on Thursday, June 2, 2022. She was born in Delaplaine, Arkansas, on October 5, 1937, to the late Perry and Gracie Collins Blankenship. LoNella graduated from Paragould High School in 1956. She married Bobby Coates on April 6, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee. LoNella worked as a financial clerk for 37 years in Memphis, upstate New York, and thierr northern Virginia before retiring.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bobby Coates of Harvest; sister-in-law, Kelcy Whitten (Jerry); and several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-3pm at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral begins at 3pm at Heath Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. If you desire to do a memorial in her honor, please do so for your favorite charitable organization.
