Lola Frances Farnsworth Kerr went to be with our Lord on July 26, 2022. She was born September 6, 1920, in Lipscomb County Texas, out on a farm, where she grew up. After grade school Lola went on to Wayland Baptist University, Howard Payne, and then on to Southwestern Baptist Seminary. She went from there to work at First Baptist Church in Midland, Tx. for several years as the Training Union Coordinator. Lola and her husband James were avid church goers at First Baptist Church in Midland, Tx. and both served in various capacities there.
Lola is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kathryn & Pat Cruze of St. Cloud, MN; son Mark Kerr of Houston, TX; son and daughter-in-law Paul & Lischen Kerr of Hartsville, SC, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James, parents Fred and Bernice Farnsworth, and 8 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A chapel service will be Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM, at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home North, 6510 State HWY 349, Midland, Texas 79705.
