Lola Jeanrae Wesson was born on October 18, 1939 to Leo and Marie (Merkley) Burkhart in McGill, Nevada and died at 82 years of age on August 20, 2022 after battling many health issues. Jeanrae enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing, often making gifts for those she loved or for strangers in need. She loved to spend time with animals (especially her dogs or watching birds at her Oso home). She would often relax by doing word puzzles, reading novels or watching movies, particularly Westerns. Her favorite place was Hawaii and often talked of her visit there. She was a woman of faith, giving to many charities and serving her community. She loved her Lord and looked forward to joining her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Paul Wesson, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Leo Burkhart of Grants Pass, OR and Leland Burkhart of Ely, NV, and her sister Marion Van Collie of San Diego, CA. She leaves behind her 4 sons, Charles (Sherry) Wesson of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Roger (Ronda) Wesson of Darrington, WA, Allen (Becki) Wesson of Oso, WA, and Ken (Nancy) Wesson Jr., of Darrington, WA; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Cemetery on September 12, 2022 at 9:00am for extended family only. A Celebration of Life will be October 1, 2022 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Oso Fire Hall. It will be a potluck, so bring a dish to share if you like.
