Funeral service for Lola Inez Harper will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the 8th & Lee Church of Christ with John Marble, Minister, Northwest Church of Christ, Lawton, Oklahoma officiating.
Burial will be in the Walters Cemetery, Walters, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Tuesday afternoon, November 8, 2022, from 3pm until 4:30pm at the funeral home.
Lola Inez Harper, 102, of Lawton passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born September 10, 1920 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Thomas Jethro and Aughtie Bell (Keaton) Smith. She attended school in Ahpeatone, Oklahoma. On March 27, 1940, she married Milton E. Harper in Walters, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1986. Lola became an LPN and worked at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in the newborn ward from 1960 until 1985. Following her retirement, she worked at the hospital as a volunteer. Lola was a member of the 8th & Lee Church of Christ and was a resident of Brookridge Retirement Community for the last five years.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lorita M. Clark of Lawton, Oklahoma, Linda M. Bloom and husband Delman of Lawton, Oklahoma, five grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, many friends at Brookridge and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Ed Clark and 12 siblings.
