Lois Joan Farrer, 93, of Bremen, passed away the evening of Sunday, January 30, 2022 surrounded by family at the home of Holly and Nate Skoviak in Bremen. Lois was born on November 21, 1928 in St. Joseph Co. to Max and Lydia Aukerman. On August 14, 1948, she married Stanley Dean Farrer. He passed away on August 15, 2017. She is survived by four children; Tony (Diana) Farrer, Sr, Bev (Larry) Balsley, Sr., Donna Grove and Melinda (Bill) Daily; nine grandchildren, Tony (Beth) Farrer, Jr., Larry (Angie) Balsley, Jr., Amy (Chad) Grove, Stacy (George) Younis, Lindsey (Caleb) Andrews, Brooke Rodriguez, Holly (Nate) Skoviak and Candace Farrer, Amber (Caleb Martin; as well as 16 great grandchildren, one great grandchild and many more that called her grandmother. She is also survived by four siblings, Doris Jones, Betty Briggs, Dale (Lucinda) Aukerman and John Aukerman and a sister in law, Carolyn Aukerman. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law, Jerry Grove and siblings, Pauline Fulmer, Richard Aukerman, Robert Aukerman, Donald Aukerman, Carolyn Kile, Jean Stillson and Ronald Aukerman. Lois was a member of Horizon Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and a babysitter for many children and held the largest collection of Jim Beam Bottles and Tins around! Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm, Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home with cremation to follow. The family requests that a mask be worn while attending the visitation and/or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Horizon Church, 202 N. Center St., Bremen, IN 46506 or Bremen VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 1750 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN 46506.
