Lois "Jean" Hanlon, 90, passed away on May 29, 2021.
Lois was born Sept 12, 1930, in Akron, OH to the late Lonnie and Ethel (McClurg) Calaway.
Lois' faith was especially important to her; she accepted Christ into her life when she was 9 years old. She was a faithful member of Norton Grace Brethren Church where she sang in the choir, and was a member of their Widows Group, Red Hats and Women of Grace. She was devoted to her family and loved gardening, cooking, and baking (especially pies, pecan being her favorite). She worked for Summit Co. Board of Elections as a poll worker.
Along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hanlon; and brothers, Delmar and Donald (Teresa) Calaway. She is survived by sons, Daniel (Deborah) Hanlon and David (Darla) Hanlon; daughter, Debra (Joseph) Sepos; grandchildren, Amanda-Brooke and Lonnie Hanlon, and Bradley (Rebecca), and Joshua (Natalie) Sepos; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Sepos; and many other loving family and friends.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., where services will be held at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Bob Combs officiating. Interment will be Friday, 10:00 am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Friday. Condolences and memories may be shared with Lois's family at the funeral home website.
