Lee Bartlett of Kingston and Nottingham, NH and Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021 at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of 42 years of William S. (Bill) Bartlett, Jr., of Kingston, NH; the loving grandmother of two grandchildren and four step grandchildren; the cherished mother of Cheryl Spencer, Sean Stinson, their spouses, Clark Spencer and Nancy O'Donoghue respectively; stepchildren Lynne Merrill and her husband John, William S Bartlett III (Stuart), Nancy Juneau, and Steven Bartlett; the beloved sister-in-law of Eleanor Crow; and the adored aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Lee graduated from Stoneham High School, and earned a certification in radiology from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston. Upon graduation she was recruited to help start a radiology center at Northeastern University. Lee then worked for a couple of years at Somerville Hospital before starting a family with her first husband. In the early 70's Lee started a successful career as real estate agent. Through her creativity and determination, she became a respected REALTOR in Rockingham County working for, and later managing, her brother's real estate company. In the mid 70's, Lee met and married Bill, owner of Kingston Real Estate. They worked together until she retired in 2013.
Pawtuckaway Lake was one of her favorite places to be throughout her life. She loved loons and enthusiastically followed the progress of yearly newborns on the lake. Some of her favorite activities were reading, boating, kayaking, and sunset dinners on the deck. She enjoyed traveling with Bill in search of beautiful sights and great food, especially in Punta Gorda, FL where they vacationed for many years. Lee enjoyed many friends in several Punta Gorda clubs such as the PGI Paddlers and the Cruisers Club, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Punta Gorda Dragon Boat Team.
After retiring, she enjoyed volunteering at the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens in Punta Gorda, and in Nottingham with the Pawtuckaway Lake Improvement Association as a Weed Watcher monitoring for exotic invasive species.
Graveside services will be held this summer.
