Logan David DeWitz, 21, of Wanamingo, died Monday, October 19, 2020 due to a car accident near Royalton.
He was born April 22, 1999 in Rochester the son of Joshua and Heather (Hinrichs) DeWitz. Logan graduated from Kenyon-Wanamingo High School where he played football and basketball. Following high school, he worked for Al Con Construction in Rochester, farmed with the Overby Family and did custom work with Dean Greseth. Logan was currently in his final year of school at Staples Community College to be a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Logan is described as a hardworking, dedicated, loving individual who never needed to be asked to help out; he just did. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting deer, turkey and pheasant. He also loved snowmobiling and riding dirt bike. He was introduced to dirt bikes through his loving girlfriend of nearly two years, Cassandra Hall. The two of them were always at each other's side and shared many common interests. Logan was also a member of Team Extreme. The Derby Team that shared many wins and enjoyed working on each other's derby cars.
Logan loved his family deeply, a love that was reciprocated by each one of them.
He is survived by his mother, Heather (and Dean Greseth) DeWitz of Kenyon; father, Joshua (and Andrea) DeWitz of Wanamingo; sisters, Ashley (and Nick) Bauer of Dennison, Bailey DeWitz of Wanamingo, Madison Greseth of Kenyon, Nevaeh Greseth of Kenyon, Bella Greseth of Kenyon; girlfriend, Cassandra Hall of Zumbro Falls; grandparents, Dave DeWitz of Rochester, Sue Kyllo of Apple Valley, Barb and Jerry Hinrichs of Zumbrota, Ray and Julie Greseth of Wanamingo, Joe and Wanda Scherber of Albertville; great Grandpa, Harold DeWitz of Rochester and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Thursday from 3pm to 8pm and at Holden Lutheran Church on Friday from 1pm to 2pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2pm at Holden Lutheran Church with The Reverend Heather Culuris officiating. Interment will be in the Dale Lutheran Church Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Ryan Overby farm.
