Lloyd Marshall Wright Bradshaw, 81, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at his home with family by his side. He was born on October 10, 1940 in Madison, Indiana the son of Orville Preston and Dortha Elizabeth (Roberts) Bradshaw. Marshall was a 1959 graduate of North Vernon High School. He married the love of his life, Janice Ruth Leahigh, on May 21, 1960 in Butlerville, Indiana and they were happily married for fifty-six years. Marshall retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1990 after 30 years of service. He was a Westport resident for 45 years before moving to Bloomington with his wife.
Marshall was a man of faith and loved the Lord and his family. He always served others. He was a very active member of the Westport Baptist Church and the StoneRidge Baptist Church in Bloomington. He participated in, and lead, Sunday School classes and Bible Study Fellowship groups for many years. He loved to read the Bible, spend time with his family, and watch IU Basketball and Colts Football.
He was a Little League baseball coach, softball coach and umpire in Westport. He served as Dean for the Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp, a CASA Advocate in Columbus, and a Good News Bible Club leader in the MCCSC Schools. He will be greatly missed.
Marshall is survived by his children, Pam (Greg) Stone of Scottsdale, Arizona; Greg (Denise) Bradshaw of Angola, Indiana; Jon (Cheri) Bradshaw of Zionsville; Jenise (Scott) Roane of Bloomington; a grandson, Lance Bradshaw a student in Bloomington; his sister, Anna Lavonne "Vonnie" Sedam of North Vernon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Dortha Bradshaw; wife, Janice Bradshaw; and two brothers, Jesse and David Bradshaw.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the StoneRidge Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Gashke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Allen Funeral Home 4155 S. Old St Rd 37 Bloomington, and on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 3:00 pm until service time at the church. A burial for the family will be at Butlerville Cemetery in Butlerville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the StoneRidge Baptist Church (For the Patenaude Fund), the Westport Baptist Church (For the Outreach Center Building Fund), or the IU Health Bloomington Hospice.
