Ljiljana Voulgaris, 82, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2022 in Largo Florida. Ljiljana Voulgaris was born in Yugoslavia on May 27, 1939 to Dusan and Zagorka Grubisich. Ljiljana's family immigrated to the United States of America in 1956, and the family settled down in Lockport, Illinois in the Fairmont neighborhood. Her family attended St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Lilly married Marcos Voulgaris in 1957 and she lived in the Lockport area for most of her life. Lilly worked for Western Electric and a couple of other companies manufacturing electrical components. She was also as a compassionate caregiver in the Lockport area for many years. Lilly was a very generous person with everyone that she encountered. In her earlier years, Lilly enjoyed fishing and gardening but always enjoyed people, walking, socializing, and cooking. She loved spending time with her sisters, walking to the store to buy lotto tickets, and going to garage sales. Ljiljana has lived in Orland Park for 15 years with one of her sisters, Desanka Curry, while spending the winters in Largo, Florida with her two sisters Desanka Curry and Dusanka Ilich. Ljiljana had one child, Spiro Voulgaris, who lives in the Lockport area with his wife Andra (Dystrup) and five children. Lilly's greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids Gabby, Zara, Gracie, Marcos, and Clover. Preceded in death by her father, Dusan; mother, Zagorka; brother, Tomislav; and husband, Marcos. Ljiljana is survived by her son Spiro (Andra); granddaughters, Gabby, Zara, Gracie, Clover; grandson, Marcos; sisters, Dusanka Ilich, Desanka Curry; nieces, nephew, and many cousins.
