Dr. Lisa Anne Bove, known to many as "Favorite Aunt Lisa", of Kure Beach, NC, died on October 26, 2024 at home, surrounded by family and her high school best friend.
Lisa was born on July 2, 1960 in Delaware County, PA and raised in Broomall, PA, daughter of the late Angelo Edward Bove, Jr, and Joan Gillespie Bove. She is survived by six siblings: Donna Kipphorn, John Bove (Janet), Joann Barnard (John), Angela Reynolds (Steve), Christopher (Reena), and A. Edward, 3rd, as well as 10 nieces and nephews, two great nephews and one great niece.
Dr. Lisa Bove was a professional nurse earning an RN, MSRN, CCRN, and DNP, who then worked in hospital systems consulting, and most recently, was a professor and author at the School of Nursing at UNCW.
Lisa lived her life in pink, and was a natural nurse and caregiver, who took care of all of us. She was known for her chocolate chip cookies, Blue Crab and house decor, her love for traveling, and Rosa, her pink eye-lashed golf cart. Lisa accomplished her life goals of being a nurse, a doctor, a professor and living at the beach!
A celebration of life will be celebrated in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation (Hospice), at There are a Million Ways to Give - Lower Cape Fear LifeCare. www.AndrewsMortuary.com
