Lisa Ann Bernstein Brenner passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, FL. Born in Indianapolis, IN on November 27, 1968 she was the daughter of Connie Bozman (Howard) of Salisbury, MD and Richard Bernstein (Ellen) of Oxford, MD. While most of her life was spent on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, she recently relocated to Florida to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine.
Lisa graduated from James M Bennett High School in 1986. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College in 1990 and she earned a Master of Social Work from Salisbury University in 2005. Lisa spent her career in the field of social work and counseling. She was dedicated to her work and enjoyed knowing she was helping others. She spent her free time reading and writing and she was a dear friend to many.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her son Gerald Benjamin Brenner of Boulder, CO; brother Kevin Bernstein (Petra) of Salisbury, MD; sisters Kara Gaghan (John) of Philadelphia, PA; Katie Cox (Jeff) of Easton, MD and Rachel Barthold (Hal) of Alexandria, VA. In addition, she is survived by step-siblings Michael Clemmer (Dina), Jeff Clemmer (Teresa), and Jennifer Loeser (David), along with many nieces and nephews.
A service honoring her life will be held Thursday, January 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, MD. The family requests in lieu of flowers to consider a donation to the Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
