Lindsey Taylor Evans, born June 24th 1978, passed away in Bloomington, IN on Sunday March 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother Shelia Evans and is survived by his father Michael Evans, two deeply loved sons Basil and Zandir Nolan, sister Rachel (Chama) Henry, and niece Roxane Henry. He will be dearly missed as his kindness, wit and charm made an indelible impression upon all those who were lucky enough to know him.
Lindsey was a creative soul in all aspects. An early desire to learn to play the guitar like his dad led to a lifelong passion for music. He was a natural guitar player with a uniquely beautiful voice and a prolific songwriter, penning entertaining songs of life experiences, love and the loss that the world all too often brought his way. His ability to take ordinary found objects such as wood, wire, and string and beautifully turn them into small tokens of his affection was unparalleled and leaves a lasting mark on those whose homes and lives he graced. He was also as handy as they come, able to bring broken items back to life or patch a solution together so you could at least finish the job at hand.
Although Lindsey struggled with addiction throughout his life, we know he was more than an addiction and choose to remember him as the clever, loving and funny friend that he was to all. We will be having a celebration of life for Lindsey at Winslow Woods Shelterhouse in Bloomington, IN on Saturday April 16th from 1pm-3pm. We invite anyone who knew Lindsey to join us in remembering and honoring him.
