Linda S. Waits, 78, of Waddy, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in Louisville.
Linda was a member of Waddy Christian Church. She retired in 1999 with 25 years of service with the United States Postal Service with many of those years as Post Mistress at Waddy. She loved sewing and knitting. She was active with water aerobics at the Family Activity Center and line dancing at Senior Citizens in Frankfort. She loved to travel. Her greatest enjoyment was anything her grandchildren were involved in and watching UK basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Sara Smith, her sister, Sally Sheets and longtime companion, Bill King.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Waits-Webb (Toby) of Richmond, Terri Summers (Keith), Plainfield, IN, her 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Sophie and Sam, her sister, Nancy Claire Ellis of Carrollton, her brothers, Mike Smith (Cathy) of Shelbyville and Joe Smith of Waddy.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, July 5th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
