Linda A. Triemstra, age 67 of Markesan, was taken to be with her Lord and Savior on October 4, 2021, peacefully surrounded by family.
Linda was born on October 17, 1953 in Markesan, the daughter of Lavern and Lorraine Lohrey. She was a graduate of Markesan High School. A lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan, this is also where she was united in marriage to her husband, Dennis Triemstra in 1973. For 42 years she worked at the local co-ops, the Grand River Co-Op and Landmark Co-Op. She loved spending time with her family and cherished trips to the casino and playing cards with her sisters and mom. Bowling, especially the Monday Night League, as well as watching and cheering on the Brewers were things she enjoyed. An avid McDonald's collector, she attended many conventions as a member of the International McDonalds Collectors Club. She also appreciated the beauty of her flowers and birds.
Linda is survived by her husband, Dennis Triemstra; children, Kelly (Angie Carmody) Triemstra and Mark (Cristie, Parker, and Carter Hess) Triemstra; her mother, Lorraine Lohrey; sisters, Luann (Jeff) Keel, Lenita (James) Hein, and Lisa (Mark) Broder; brother- and sister-in law, Ron and Darcy Triemstra; beloved cat, Daisy; grand-cats, Mickey, Maxine, and Jersey; grand-dogs, Buddy, Winchester, and Jasper; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lavern; mother-and father-in-law; and other relatives.
