Linda Sue O'Neill Brown, age 70, went home to Jesus on January 2, 2022 in Lubbock, TX.
Linda was born on August 27, 1951, in Amarillo, TX. She and her brother, Alan Minchew, were the children of Nadine Deck. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1969. Shortly after moving to Lubbock as a young mother, she began working at Venetian Marble of Lubbock. During her 42 years with the company, she worked every position of the business and retired as the Secretary of the corporation and Plant Production Manager. She became a Certified Composite Technician and was widely respected in the industry. Linda was a very hard worker and loved her co-workers and employees greatly. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, and she got to work early every morning to pray for her staff and family. Linda was often seen sitting at her desk with a cup of coffee and reading her Bible. She loved inspirational quotations, which were displayed over the walls of her office.
In addition to being a beloved boss, Linda was also the loving and devoted mother of 5 children, whom she raised with unwavering faith in God. She became the wife of Mike Brown on October 16, 1999 and attended First United Methodist Church with him. She now joins her oldest son Marc Burton in Heaven. She is survived by her husband Mike Brown of Lubbock and brother Alan Minchew of Houston. She is also survived by son Chea O'Neill (Ellie and Aidan), daughter Amanda O'Neill (Madeline), daughter and son-in-law Lori and Chad McCullough (Ashley, Shelby and Jeremy, and Cloe), and daughter Tara Wills (Kayla and Rachel).
Although Linda will be greatly missed, we rejoice in knowing that she is dancing in Heaven with Jesus. The family is truly grateful for all the additional care, help and prayers in the time leading to her passing.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the West Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, in memory of Linda.
