Linda "Kay" Taylor, 76, of Laurelville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness. She was born on October 13, 1947, to the late George and Hazel (Arledge) Rose. Kay married Kenneth "Skip" Taylor in August 1995, who passed away in March of 2009.
Kay is survived by her sons, Jamie (JeriLynn) and Johnny (Terina) Rose, six grandchildren: Ethan (Elizabeth), Jalyn, Gabriel, Kathryn (Joshua), Emma (Nathan), and Lily, and two great-grandsons, Jerrod, and Anthony. Four sisters also survive her: Dorothy Mahoney, Susie Bussert, Nancy (Pete Ash) Hyme, and Pam (Tony) Abbott, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant grandson Will Allen Rose, and brothers-in-law Fred Mahoney and Larry Bussert. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday in Laurelville from 4-7 p.m. The family expresses their gratitude to Legacy of Chillicothe and Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care of Kay in her final days.
