Linda J. McNabney, 76, of Medaryville, IN went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 29, 2021. She passed away at Franciscan Health Hospital in Rensselaer, IN. Linda was born on August 24, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Narlan L. and Geraldine [Ruthledge] Inmon. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1962 and completed her studies at Indiana Business College. Linda worked as a legal secretary for several years at Ice Miller. On August 7, 1966 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, William R. McNabney, in Mooresville, IN. Linda was a proud homemaker and as such, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was always involved in the activities her children were participating in and was the leader of Cass White Post 4H, Good News Bible Club, and Girl Scouts. Linda was active in the Pulaski County community and was a member of Bethel Bible Church and Aim High Home-Ec Club. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Linda was a talented pianist and loved the old hymns. She enjoyed cooking and baking - whether it was for her family or friends. Linda shared God's grace in many ways; a meal brought to your home, a word of encouragement, or a shared prayer. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. Linda will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, William R. "Bill" McNabney; four children, Lara (Alan) Yates, Melia (Wayne) Leichty, Todd (Theresa) McNabney, and Kendra (Jennifer) McNabney; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three siblings, Bob (Tootsie) Inmon, Jerry (Bill) Alfrey, and Don (Jeanie) Inmon; as well as Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM EST Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel (318 E. Pearl St. Medaryville, IN 47957) with Pastor Don Whipple and Pastor Tom Dewlen officiating. Burial will take place at White Post Cemetery in Medaryville, IN. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM EST Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services at the funeral home Thursday. Memorial Contributions may be made to Haitian Bibles c/o Bill McNabney. Online Tributes may be offered at www.frainmortuary.com.
