Linda Kay Hall passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the age of 82.
She met Jerry Hall in Lubbock in late 1967 while working for the Lubbock National Bank. They were married in Lubbock, TX on November 27, 1968
Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Angela Hall of Lubbock, grandchildren Jaden Potts, Grant Potts, Katie Hall, Jerry Hall III, Patrick Hall, her sister, Joanne Stevens and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda is predeceased by her son, Jerry B. (Jay) Hall Jr., parents, Hugh and Vivian Vaughn and brothers, Norman (Bart) Vaughn and James Vaughn.
Linda was born in Roscoe, TX, August 21, 1940 and later moved with the family to Abernathy where she graduated high school. She later worked for Lubbock National Bank, Hall Foundries & Mfg. and in 1985 helped her husband and partner establish J&B Industrial Services.
She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ, Eastern Star, Lubbock Country Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of 1812 and was an avid genealogist, reader and crossword puzzle fan. Linda traveled extensively across the country researching family roots for both her and Jerry. She loved to travel and was able to see most of the US, Europe, Mexico, Canada and particularly loved Hawaii.
Linda was an earnest, gracious, generous, curious, loving person and a wonderful mother that loved her family deeply. She was, for many years, the birthday card lady making sure every niece, nephew, child and grandchild was always remembered. Linda and Jerry were happily married for 54 years. She loved unconditionally, laughed often, and tried to live life to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 9th at 2:00pm at Sanders Funeral Home, 1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401 with Karl Ihfe officiating. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lubbock Children's Home, 4404 Idalou Rd, Lubbock, TX 79403 or the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch, 4810 N. County Rd., Lubbock, Texas 79403.
