Linda Lou Brandenburg (Webber), 81, of Jefferson, Maryland, passed away on August 23, 2024. Born to Arden and Hilda Ausherman Webber on July 22, 1943, Linda was a kind and gentle soul who dedicated her life to her family and her work.
Linda's unwavering dedication to her family was evident in her role as a loving wife of 61 years to Harold W. Brandenburg, and as a nurturing mother to her son, Nolan Jay Brandenburg, and his wife Elizabeth. Her joy was multiplied in her role as a grandmother to Evan and Benjamin. Linda's passing was preceded by that of her parents and her brother, Richard Webber. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever remembered by her extended family, including numerous brother- and sister-in-laws.
After graduating from Middletown High School, Linda began her career at Granger's Mutual Insurance in
Middletown before moving to Rapid City, South Dakota, where she worked as a switchboard operator while
Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. She later devoted 31 years to Frederick County Public Schools as an administrative assistant, reflecting her dedication to education and the well-being of others.
Linda's artistic passions were reflected in her membership in the Apple Valley Painters Club and were further expressed in her love for painting, sewing, and reading. These hobbies brought her great joy and provided a creative outlet that she shared with all who knew her.
A longtime member of the Locust Valley Bible Church, Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her existence, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda's life at the Thompson-Harman Funeral Home in Middletown, MD, on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at noon.
Interment will follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Wolfsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Frederick County in Linda's memory. The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice staff for their care and support during her illness and final days.
Linda's gentle presence and enduring love will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her spirit will live on through the lives she touched and the memories she has left behind.
