Lillie Ann Lawson Millsaps age 93 of Loudon passed away Friday morning at the Parkwest Medical Center with her family by her side. Lillie was a long-time member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Lillie and her husband, Lloyd, spent much of their time singing. Through their singing they ministered to many families who had lost loved ones. Growing up on a farm with her large family, Lillie learned to love gardening, harvesting and preserving the vegetables that were prepared for the table. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers to beautify her surroundings.
Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Betty Mae (Randolph) Lawson; husband of 71 years, Lloyd Millsaps; son and daughter-in-law, J.L and Mary (Watson) Millsaps; daughter, Betty Millsaps; sisters, Sis Garner and Shirley Millsaps; brothers, Bobby Ray, Junior, Bud, John, and Jamie Lawson.
Lillie is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Eddie Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Rita Davis; grandchildren, Kelly and Ed Grun; Chad and Amanda Jenkins, Josh and Courtney Millsaps, Matt Millsaps, Andrew and Paytyn Millsaps, Derek and Rhonda Thompson, Rachel and Jamie Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Caleb Grun, Corbin and Colby Jenkins, Jake and Carlee Millsaps, Hayden and Grayson Millsaps, and Bailey Thompson; brother, Cobb Lawson and Carol Custead; sister, Ruby Williams; brother-in-law, Boyce Millsaps; many nieces and nephews.
Services to honor and remember Lillie will be held 3 PM Sunday, June 23rd in the McGill Click Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Davis officiating. Interment will follow In the Union Fork Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, Chad Jenkins, Ed Grun, Josh Millsaps, Matt Millsaps, Andrew Millsaps, Derek Thompson, and Jamie Hawkins. The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Sunday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Highway 72 N, Loudon. mcgillclick.com
