Lewis Edward Robinson, Jr. died Sunday, February 9, 2020, in Dallas, Texas.
Lewis was born on July 29, 1949, in Monroeville, AL, the son of Lewis Edward Robinson, Sr. and Nancie Brantley Robinson. He graduated from Monroeville HS in 1967. He attended the University of South Alabama and then transferred to Auburn University where he received a BS degree and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
While at Auburn he met his wife Rebecca Ann Kline. They were married on September 13, 1975, in Minot, North Dakota. The couple moved to Dallas, TX, in August of 1976 where Lewis was employed by Texas Instruments. He later went to work for Santera which became Ribbon Communications, where he retired in July of 2018.
Lewis was very active in his church, King of Glory Lutheran. He also volunteered for Texas Ramps, Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts of America, Computers for the Blind, and his Neighborhood Watch Patrol. For 25 years he sang with the Dallas Symphony Chorus.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca Robinson; his mother, Nancie Brantley Robinson; three children, Eric ( Chrissy) Robinson, Aaron ( Mary Heather ) Robinson, Sarah ( Jerid) Murray; six grandchildren, Arlo Robinson, Hazel Robinson, Ezra Robinson, Wallace Robinson, Mary Alice Robinson, Lewis Murray; three brothers, Peter (Lin Hsia) Robinson, Brian (Kay) Robinson, Carl (Terry) Robinson; one sister Diane (Darryl) Rosser.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Edward Robinson, Sr. and brother James Robinson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6411 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75240.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to King of Glory Foundation or a charity of your choice.
