Levi C. Coleman, 81, of Fallon, NV formerly of Willow Hill, IL passed away on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Renoun Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV.
He was born in Charleston, IL on June 16, 1940 to Clarence N. and Emily (Carter) Coleman. On March 6, 1968 he married Verna Mae Evitt (Parks), who preceded him in death on December 22, 2013. He grew up attending Bethany Christian Church in rural Willow Hill and remained a life time member.
Levi graduated from Oblong High School in 1959. After high school he joined the United States Air Force serving for 20 years, which included assignments in the US and overseas in Greenland, Japan, Panama Canal, Vietnam, Korea, Germany, England and Spain. After his retirement from the Air Force, he went to work for the Navy as a civilian. He was a long time member of the Churchill County Search and Rescue. He was also a model train enthusiast, and a "Super" Bowler, earning a "Super Bowl" ring in competition in Bowling League play.
He is survived by two daughters Dorothy Coleman and Don Lassiter, Bull Head City, AZ and Vickie Parks, Edmonds, WA; grandson David Reitsma; two sisters and brother-in-law Carolyn Coleman, Oblong, IL and Lydia and Mike Bailey, Willow Hill, IL along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Verna Mae Coleman, grandparents Ira and Grace Coleman and Levi and Lydia Carter.
It was Levi's wish to be cremated with his cremains interred and his name inscribed on the Veterans Memorial at Northern Nevada Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
