Leslie Leonore (Riddle) Sage passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Junction, Colorado on January 31, 2021; after a lengthy illness.
Leslie was born March 11, 1953 to Robert Ira and Yvonne (Bonnie) Riddle in Norwood, Colorado. She was the second of four children. Leslie was raised on the family ranch at Bedrock, Colorado. She attended elementary school in Paradox, Junior High in Naturita, and graduated in 1971 from Nucla High School. During her youth she was active in 4-H and cheerleading. On June 6, 1971 she married Eldon Lester Sage. Eldon joined the Army in 1972, and during this time they lived in Oklahoma, Hawaii, and Alaska, returning to Grand Junction, Colorado at the end of his service in the Army. Her career in real estate started in Alaska and continued in Grand Junction. At the time of her retirement she was a loan originator for Bank of Colorado. Leslie and Eldon were finally blessed with their son Matthew Blake
on May 21, 1985. Leslie loved dogs, her yard and garden.
She is survived by her son Matthew of Grand Junction, a sister Drue (Butch) Priestley of Redvale, Colorado, her brother James (Nancy) Riddle of Grand Junction, Colorado, mother-in-law Genneve (Steele) Sage of St. George, Utah and three sister-in-laws Sherry (Gayland) Christensen of Smithville, Utah; Shirley (William) Christensen and Deanna (Monte) Dalton of St. George, Utah; brother-in-law Wayne Sage (Greg) of San Diego, California; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Eldon, her parents Robert and Bonnie Riddle, a sister Gail Galyean, and father-in-law Wayne Sage.
