Leonel F. Lopez, age 75, entered into rest on May 28, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on February 19, 1947, in Falfurrias, Texas. He joined The United States Air Force proudly serving his country until retirement. He enjoyed many things, but most of all he had a love for hunting. Leonel enjoyed spending time with his family; he was a devoted husband and a proud loving father. His love for his daughter, son, grandchildren and great grandchildren was beyond measure.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Guadalupe Lopez Jr., Daniel Lopez, David Lopez and Eduardo Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife Maria del Carmen Lopez; daughter Susana Brooks (Bobby Brooks); son Leonel “Lonnie” Lopez Jr.; sisters-on-law Viola Lopez, Belinda Lopez and Sarah Lopez. He is also survived by grandchildren Joshua Lopez, Alfonso Lopez, Courtney Hallum (Gray Gonzales), Kaylee Hallum and Lilly Lopez; great grandchildren Destiny Gonzales and Grayson Gonzales; numerous nieces and nephews, many other family members and friends.
Anyone that knew him at some point or another heard him say his favorite sentence “Ay Caramba, Carmen”. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
