Leonard Sobieski, 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 10, 2022 while at home. He was the son of the late Alred F. and Stephanie (Zapal) Sobieski.
Born in Meriden on May 28, 1952 he was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus church. Lenny was a skilled HVAC technician and loved teaching his trade. He was an avid hiker and enjoyed spending time outdoors either in the woods or cruising down to the beach. Lenny loved rescuing animals and helping people, especially the elderly and children. He had a great respect for those who served his country and was fond of military history and memorabilia. Most of all, Len loved his family and time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his lifelong partner whom he loved dearly, Linda Grant, his two daughters, Molly and her husband Stephen Moorer, and Jackie and her husband Shane Phillips, his five cherished grandchildren, Dillyn, Braylen, Charles, Avery, and Lola. He is also survived by a sister Lynda Sobieski, and two brothers Steven (Anna) and Robert Sobieski.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 19th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main Street, Meriden. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
