Leonard H. Hubbell, age 77, resident of Hughesville, MD died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Born January 18, 1944 in Baltimore, MD to the late Leonard A. and Theresa R. Hubbell. Lenny worked for the Maryland State Police Motor Division prior to opening his own auto repair shop in Hughesville which he operated for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Penny Hubbell; three children, Leonard H. Hubbell Jr., (Jo Anne), Lisa Worcester (John) and Lance Hubbell; two step-daughters, Tammy Richards and Crystal Hunnicutt (Robbie); three sisters, Brenda Jackson of Davidsonville, MD, Charlotte Smith (Ronald) of La Plata, MD and Cynthia Dickert (Timothy) of Graniteville, SC and his former spouse, Leslie Hubbell. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Allona Werner.
Lenny had a love of cars, car shows and drag racing. He enjoyed attending races with his son, Lenny Jr., his grandson, Logan and step-son-in-law, Robbie even while undergoing cancer treatment. He also had a passion for animals.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Wicomico Shores Club House, 35794 Aviation Yacht Club Road, Mechanicsville, MD.
