Leonard “Leo” Chimienti, age 91, resident of Casa San Carlo, Northlake, IL, formerly of Westchester, IL. Devoted Son of the late Giuseppe and the late Rita (Clarizio) Chimienti; Devoted Husband for 66 years to Mary, nee Episcopo; Loving Father of Joseph (Gail) Chimienti and Rita (Bruno) Dacanay; Proud Grandfather of Matthew (Danielle), Michael (Katherine), Anne (fiancé- Matthew), Giovanna (Brendan) Caffrey and Bruno; Honored Great Grandfather of Alexander Joseph; Dear Brother of the late Saverino Chimienti and the late Santina Ciliberti. Leonard worked for 30 years as a bricklayer and for several years as a bartender at Midway Airport. Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday, June 9, 2022 beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Elmhurst, Funeral Mass 9: 30 a.m. Entombment Christ the King Garden Mausoleum, Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
