Leon Hutton "Lee" McElroy, age 40, Knoxville passed away Monday, June 1, 2020. Lee was a devoted animal lover and gifted athlete. He attended West High School where he was a track and cross country stand out. His biggest passion was University of Tennessee football. Lee was a free spirit who never met a stranger. He developed life-long relationships and often connected with others that needed a friend. Lee possessed a kind soul, was a loyal friend and was known to always have your back. He was a loving father, son and brother. Lee is survived by his children, Zhi and Zane McElroy; mother and step father, Debbie and Mike Crockett of Knoxville; father and step mother, Charles and Michelle McElroy of Fayetteville; sisters, Lindsey Blankenship and husband Brock of Knoxville, Mackenzie McElroy Golden of Fayetteville, Ashley Martini and husband Van, Kristin Emmons and husband Brandon all of Fayetteville; brother, Bartley McElroy of Ketchikan, Alaska; nieces, Callie Golden and Brayla Emmons; nephews, Conner Golden, Parker Blankenship and Korbin Martini; aunt, Susan Greene of Knoxville, Katrina LeBlanc, Sherry Foley, Lila McElroy, Kathy McElroy all of Fayetteville; uncle, Russ Greene of Knoxville, Gene Foley and Randy McElroy both of Fayetteville; cousin Brittany Nolan of Knoxville; several other cousins in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel. Please observe social distancing.
