Lenora Alice Hayes, 91, Greenfield, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
She was born July 14, 1928, in Philadelphia, Indiana to the late Carl Milton Sr. and Pearl Lenora (Griffith) Graham. She was baptized at the young age of 9 years and was a faithful follower of Jesus her entire life. She loved her Lord and had been an active member of several Christian churches, most recently attending Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield where she cherished many wonderful friends and caregivers helping to get her to and from church.
She graduated from the Old Fortville High School in 1947. She married Donald Gene Hayes July 11, 1947. Lenora was a housewife most of her life while taking care of her daughter Ruthie. She operated My Doll Hospital and D&L Antiques in Fortville.
She is survived by her daughter Sue Ann (Joe) Ferrell of Fortville, Indiana, and sons Michael "Don" (Rebecca) Hayes of Fortville, Indiana, and Timothy Joe (Toni) Hayes of Converse, Indiana.
Lenora was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gene Hayes; daughter Ruth Alice Hayes and son David Dean Hayes; granddaughters Angela Sue McCarter and Jennifer Lee Hayes-Wagaman; grandson Donald Patrick McCarter; sisters Ruth Griffin and Margaret Turney; and brothers Carl M. Graham Jr. and Kenneth D. Graham.
In light of the pandemic, a memorial service will not be held and a private family burial will take place at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Philadelphia Cemetery, Philadelphia, Hancock County, Indiana alongside her husband Don and daughter Ruthie.
