Lena (Ciaschini) Tranchida, 91, of Bristol, widow of Peter S. Tranchida, died on Wednesday (November 16, 2022) at Bristol Hospital. Mrs. Tranchida was born on February 20, 1931 in New Haven and was the daughter of the late Romolo and Benelda (Givenelli) Ciaschini. She was a long time resident of New Britain and also lived in Southington and Terryville before moving to Bristol.
Lena is survived by her three sons, Peter Tranchida, Jr. and his wife Helen, Robert Tranchida and his husband Paul of Palm Desert, CA and Richard Tranchida and his partner Jason of Mellica, MA. She is also survived by three daughters, Annalee Tranchida of Bristol, Brenda Tranchida and her husband Ed of Lutherville, MD and Lisa Tranchida of Canton. Lena is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Tony Szymanski (Ali), Marcus LeDuc (Michelle), Andrew LeDuc (Melanie), Brendan LeDuc, Peter Modesitt, Kelly Tranchida and Rory O'Kane and by her 6 great-grandchildren Bailey LeDuc, Remy LeDuc, Jesse Lewis, Logan Lewis, Meadow Tranchida and Vincent Szymanski.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (November 21, 2022) at 11 AM at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West Street, Bristol. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Terryville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 until the time of the service. www.DUNNFH.com
