Leif Larsen, 78, died Monday, September 6th,2021 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA. Following a courageous battle of cancer.
He leaves his wife Pamela (Zahradnik) Larsen; his daughters; Astrid Nordbo Nag and Ranja Nordbo Johannessen; his stepsons; Shaun Searcy and Chad Searcy. His eight siblings, and six grandchildren.
Leif was born in Sandhaland, Norway to Lars and Ragla Olsen. Leif always longed for the ocean and knew early on that he wanted to be a fisherman. He first worked on Knutsen boats in Norway. In May,1962, he immigrated to the US. He worked with his brother in New Jersey as a carpenter. In June,1966 he went to AK. His fishing career began. He owned and operated many boats in his career, the most notable one being the FV SCANDIES ROSE 130' crab, cod, and tendering boat. Leif spent many years as a Bering Sea Captain.
Leif was a wonderful husband, great dad and grandfather.
