Lee Steven Nemlich, 86, a resident of Summit Trails Road, Weston, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022. Lee was born in NY on August 6, 1935, the son of the late Bernard and Jeanneatty (Burstein) Nemlich. He graduated from Washington Irving High School in Tarrytown NY, Class of 1953, where he was a standout athlete, achieving All Westchester County and All Metropolitan football honors. He was a member of the Brown University Class of 1957 and a member of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. Lee was a principal owner of Regan Furniture Corporation, a third generation family business, located in midtown Manhattan. He and his wife, Jeanne, raised their family in Croton-on-Hudson, NY where Lee was a longtime, beloved Little League coach. He was also involved with the American Field Service (AFS), a high school foreign student exchange program, and a representative of the office furniture industry to the United Jewish Appeal. Lee retired at 52 and moved to Vermont, where he became active in the Weston Recreation Club and served on the boards of the Stratton Arts Festival, the Stratton Mountain Trailblazer Ski Club, and the Weston Community Association. Lee was also a decade-long Trustee of the Wilder Library in Weston. For 12 years Lee was a Mountain Guide at Stratton Mountain, volunteered at the Weston Theatre as an usher, and was a longtime member of Israel Congregation in Manchester. Lee is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanne (Pollak) Nemlich of Weston, children Bruce Nemlich (Else Heinsen) of Pawling, NY; Mindi Morris (Paul) of Ridgefield, CT; and Keith Nemlich (Pam) of Manchester, VT. Grandchildren include Katherine and Brian Nemlich, Nicole and Matthew Morris (Hannah), Megan and Chris Nemlich (Rachel), and great grandchildren, Ava Nichole and Jayden Lee Nemlich. Lee was preceded in death by his brothers, Ian and Alan Nemlich. A Celebration of Life for Lee will be held and announced at a later date. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Lee's memory may be made to the Londonderry Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Mountain Valley Medical Center of Londonderry, who take such good care of us locals....and to the Michael J.
