Lee Arlyn Jordan
Help us celebrate Lee! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Lee.
Lee Arlyn Jordan, 73, of Galveston, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2025, surrounded by the island and the people he loved so dearly. Born on January 15, 1952, in Port Arthur, Texas, Lee graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1970.
Lee began his working life as a talented carpenter before taking a position at BF Goodrich in Port Neches, where he remained until 2003. Never one to sit still for long, he later founded a swimming pool maintenance company in Galveston and continued working?happily and wholeheartedly?until the day he passed.
In 1973, he married Pamela Simmons, and together they raised a beautiful family before parting ways in 2006. In 2010, Lee reconnected with his high school classmate and found his soulmate in Shelia Warner. From that moment forward, they lived their own version of happily ever after.
Lee was a proud father to three children: Chelsea Lee Jordan, Jamaica Jordan Jenny, and Kit Kyle and he was overjoyed to get two bonus daughters Mallory and Brett Warner. He poured his love into his family and every person lucky enough to know him. He was a man who lived life out loud?vibrantly, joyfully, and unapologetically.
Music was the heartbeat of Lee's life. Whether it was Jimmy Buffett, Ray Wylie Hubbard, The Beatles, or a great local band, there was always a soundtrack playing in the background. His home and car were filled with music, and his loft in Galveston was lit with cheerful string lights?an open invitation for passersby to smile and feel welcome. Almost everyday, he and Shelia listened to music and danced their way through their last 15 years together. He had saltwater in his veins and Galveston in his soul. He loved the architecture, the characters, and the feel of the island. Lee never met a stranger, and everyone who crossed his path walked away brighter.
He is survived by his beloved sweetheart Shelia Warner; daughters Jamaica Jenny and Kit Kyle; son in law Jason Jenny; bonus daughters Mallory and Brett Warner; grandchildren Lily Jenny, Mitchell Jenny, McKenzie McKinley, and Magnolia Jenny; and great-grandson Cooper McKinley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Jordan; his sister, Sue Dews; his brother, D.A. Jordan; and his daughter, Chelsea Lee Jordan.
A private celebration of Lee's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Lee's memory in the way he lived: turn up your favorite song, laugh out loud, wear something bright, and pour your love into everyone around you. That's what he would want most.
"The days I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, ah! I have really good days" Ray Wylie Hubbard.
