Leanora "Lea" Rae Bishop Rosier was born July 31, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to Lanier R. and LaVerne Curtis Bishop. Her youth was spent in Pasadena "Golden Acres" where she graduated from South Houston High School in 1963.
Leanora met John Rosier at the age 11 and told his mother that she was going to marry him. They were married on December 16, 1966 in Houston, Texas. The Lord blessed them with 45 years of marriage. Together they raised three children, Shannon, Jessie and Marla Kaye.
Both John and Leanora were raised in the Baptist Church. In 1979 Leanora began attending Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena, Texas. She strongly believed that the Lord brought her (and John) to the Lutheran church. After adult confirmation, they both became members of Zion Lutheran and all their children were baptized into the Lutheran church.
In 1987 they moved to Palestine, Texas and there they joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church and remained members there until their death.
Leanora died in the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, a sister Lanierette Bishop and two brothers, Bobby Ray Bishop and Lanier R. Bishop, Jr. She is survived by her children: Shannon and wife Stephanie of Humble, Texas, Jessie and his wife Robin of Palestine, Texas, Marla Kay Naylor and husband Jason of Palestine, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, her brother-in-law Robert and wife Elaine, sister-in-law Beckie and husband Johnnie. (Leanora considered Beckie to be a sister and loved her as such.)
Leanora was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life, being with family and friends.
Leanora was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Willing Workers, Altrusa International of Anderson County, Inc. and Alpha Phi Kappa Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
