Lawrence H. Leffler, 79, of Londonderry passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Adena Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Kay Leffler, with whom he had recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his daughter, Kristi Tway of Chillicothe; sons Keith (Rachel) and Kelly (Mary) Leffler, both of Logan; grandchildren Nicole (Shawn) Davis, Courtney (Tyler) Trimble, Nathan Tway, Laura Leffler, Lucy Leffler, Logan Leffler, Clancy (Jessica) Weathersbee, Brandi Leffler, and Robert Lawrence Leffler; great-grandchildren Tee, Jayden Davis, Kora Trimble, Maycee Jones, Kaydee Weathersbee, and Braelynn Weathersbee; brothers Roy and Larry Leffler; sisters Sonja Kibler, and Mary Jo Reeves. He was preceded in death by his parents, George, and Flossie Leffler; son Brent Taylor; granddaughter Kim Tway; brothers Richard and Allen Leffler; and sisters Shirley Lowe, Lavina Lehman, and Patty Matheny.
Lawrence worked most of his career as a builder and contractor. He was a master craftsman who worked wonders with wood. He loved his family, his friends, and his adopted families in the Amish community. He had a special place in his heart for all little children. He was a very humble, generous, and honest man who loved fishing, boating, and horseback riding. Lawrence led a rich, varied life, and loved to tell stories. He never met a stranger, nor ever drove a crooked nail.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Chillicothe. Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call 11:00-1:00 Tuesday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the donor's favorite charity.
