Lawrence "Bud" Eugene Babb went to be with his savior Jesus Christ at 10:45 p.m. on October 22, 2021. He was born in Washington County, Ohio on April 24, 1950, to the late Betty Day Babb. Lawrence, who everyone knew as Bud, was one of the funniest and most thoughtful men ever. As sick as he was the past few years, he was always more concerned about others, especially his best friend and soul mate, Joni Horner Gheen. His favorite saying, which he spoke on his last day on earth was, "it will be alright honey." And now that he has traveled onto paradise, that statement is so very true.
He is survived by his forever soul mate, Joni Horner Gheen of McConnelsville; and two sisters, Donna Babb and Rhonda Baker, both of Beverly.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Richard, and Randy Babb.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday October 27, 2021, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Mike Wells officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Morgan County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
