Age 84 of Blaine. Loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma & Sister, passed away on March 23, 2022. Preceded in death by husband, Linter Underwood Jr.; parents, Michael & Antonia Thoennes; siblings, Catherine Kujala, Cindy Connolly, Willy Thoennes, Mike Thoennes, David Thoennes, great grandson Jared Gardner. Survived by children, Jeffery (Debbie) Underwood, Kim (Dave) Cincoski, Joseph Underwood (Debbie Ellis), Kara Underwood (Ronald Gerth); grandchildren, Bridget, Brandon, Matt, Rachel, Tim, Suzanne, Michael, Amy, Andrew, Sam, Michael, Jack, James; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; siblings, Velmier (Linda) Thoennes, Penny (Ed) McMullen, Jeannie Garner, Shirley (Terry) Plackner, Mary Lou Yunk, Betty Lou Melby; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. LaVerne was born in Alexandria, Minnesota June 12,1937. Moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota where she graduated high school in 1955. Married her husband Linter Jr. in July of 1955 and remained married to him until his death in 1997. She was a resident of So.St.Paul, MN for many years until Moving to Lindstrom, Minnesota in 1978 where she enjoyed her horse farm and her affiliation with MN High School Rodeo Association.
A strong work ethic led to a successful 40 year career in the trucking industry with Ajax Trucking, Noel Transfer, Central Distribution and finally Dart Transit. At LaVerne's request, there will be no funeral service.
