Graveside services for Lavaughn Ratto Moseley are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2020 at Bascom Cemetery with Bro. Philip Wheeless and Dr. Gil Lain officiating.
Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, May 13, 2020. She was born in Tyler to Clifford and Katie Riley Maynard.
She was a homemaker while her children were young. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, growing beautiful flowers and taking the grandchildren on summer adventures. She retired from University of Texas at Tyler Children's Place.
She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. Lavaughn loved reading her Bible, quoting scripture, offering words of encouragement and was a prayer warrior.
She is survived by her husband Francis Moseley; daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Jerry Rhodes; daughter Pat Lowrey; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Kathleen Ratto. She is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses Keith and Terri Rhodes, J. Todd Rhodes, Jimmy and Megan Ratto, Alyson and David Jennings, Whitney and Stephen Goolsbee. She had six great-grandchildren; Katie and Hallie Rhodes, Summer Goolsbee, Aiden Jennings, Macen and Hadley Ratto.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jim Bob Ratto; son-in-law Randy Lowrey and brother, Hershell Maynard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of East Texas at 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas 75701.
